SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested the All India President of Shiromani Akali Dal, Simranjeet Singh Mann, and 50 party activists at a toll plaza in Kathua district and stopped from visiting the Kashmir Valley.
The activists, led by Simranjeet Singh Mann, in half a dozen vehicles, were on their way to the Kashmir Valley from Amritsar and were arrested from Lakhanpur area of the district, police said.
The activists staged a protest at Lakhanpur while raising slogans demanding end to Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
Addressing the protesters, Simranjeet Singh Mann condemned the used of pellet guns by Indian forces’ personnel on peaceful protesters in the Kashmir Valley.
