KP launches online price control system
 
 
 

PESHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formally launched online system in the province to control prices of essential commodities during the holly month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak.
This is part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government special reforms initiative. This was revealed at a high-level meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Khalid Pervez on the special directives of the Chief Secretary in Peshawar on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by all commissioners/deputy commissioners of the provinces and other concerned officers.
The meeting was informed that through this system general public can lodge their online complaints on toll free number 0800-33-800 and 8899 and also email on complaint@kp.gov.pk and immediate action will be taken against their registered complaints, the system is accessible via url www.fpc.kp.gov.pk.
As directed by the chief secretary, Directorate of Information Technology has nominated focal persons in all districts and properly trained them on the Food Price Control System. The focal persons will update the prices of different commodities fixed by the government in various districts, which will also be posted on the portal. All the magistrates have been tasked to ensure control of prices on governments prescribed rates and in this regard the high-ups of police have been directed to ensure the provision of cops to escort the magistrates during their surprise visit to markets.
The meeting also decided that food controllers and other concerned quarters will ensure their presence in vegetables markets during bidding hours in the morning so that the prices of food item could be controlled. Additional chief secretary directed all the DCs and commissioners to immediately activate the market price committees in their respective areas.
