Nationwide computerization of revenue records reported to SC

ISLAMABAD- The federation and provinces have filed their reports in the Supreme Court (SC) regarding the computerization of the revenue record.

Work on this computerization has not yet begun in Balochistan with only tenders issued so far. However in Punjab complete scanning of revenue record has occurred with 96 percent of the data entered. In Sindh 90 percent have been scanned with data to be entered and uploaded in the near future. In Punjab, the computerized land certificates are being issued in 132 districts. In KPK the record had been computerized in 7 districts including Peshawar, Abbottabad and Bannu.

The provinces had filed these reports before a 3-member bench of the SC, presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Tassaduq Hussain Jillani.
