The missing dead body of the slain minor child, a victim of sodomy after abduction, was found from Upper Chenab Canal near village Bambaanwala-Daska after 24-day-long struggle here on Tuesday.
District Police Officer Gohar Nafees told the newsmen that people spotted the dead body and informed the police after the fished out the body from the canal.
He said that accused Azam alias Bholla had kidnapped local farmer Mukhtar Ahmed’s minor son Ubaid Raza (7-year-old) from in front of his house while playing there in village Pindi Panjoraan near Head Marala about twenty four days ago.
The DPO revealed that police had arrested the accused two weeks ago, who had confessed to his crime. Accused told the police that the he kidnapped the “ill-fated” child and took him to a deserted place in village Dhalleywali-Head Marala.
The accused informed that he molested the child and later strangulated him when his condition turned critical. The accused had fled away after throwing victim’s dead body into Upper Chenab Canal near Head Marala.
Police handed over the dead body to the family after autopsy at Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot.

DBA demands law college in Sialkot: The District Bar Association (DBA) has demanded the Punjab government to ensure early establishment of an international standard government law college in Sialkot to ensure easy access of locals to the law education.
Talking to the newsmen here on Tuesday, DBA President Shahid Mir said that local private law colleges were providing very costly law education, which had become unaffordable and out of the reach of the common man.
The situation necessitates the need for early establishment of a government law college in Sialkot to provide quality and cheap law education to people.
