MSM out against drone hits

MULTAN - Mutahidda Shehri Mahaaz (MSM) activists staged a demonstration against drone attacks here at Chungi No-9 on Friday.
MSM chief Tariq Naemullah led the protesters who gathered at the square and blocked the road. Chanting slogans against the US, the protesters burnt the effigy of American President Barack Obama and US flags. Demanding end to the drone hits, the demonstrators took a swipe at the government for its failure to get the CIA drive stopped.
Speaking on this occasion, Naemullah and others said that recent drone attacks killed dozens of innocent Pakistanis.
Rapping the government, they added that the drone campaign was a slap in the face of parliament as the state organ adopted resolutions against the predator strikes.
They called upon the people to take to the streets against the US, saying they should be out to mount up pressure on the government to get attacks stopped.
They urged the government to cut diplomatic ties with the US.
Paramedics’ protest enters 4th day: Paramedics’ protest for service structure entered the fourth day on Friday. Braving dazzling heat, dozens of paramedics assembled at the main gate of Children Complex Hospital and carried on their three-hour demonstration. Holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands, they shouted slogans against the Punjab government.
Talking to the media, they said that despite rendering valuable services, the paramedics were being neglected by the provincial government, depriving them of their just rights.
Threatening to go on strike for indefinite period, they demanded the government moot their demands and announce service structure.
