CHRSADDA - At least two policemen were killed when unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire on them in district Charsadda on Sunday.Two unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire at two police personnel, who were on duty at Shabqadar Bazaar. Policemen Shehryar Khan, resident of Katuzai, and Ayaz Khan of Atkai area died on the spot.The attackers fled the scene after the incident. Police reached the site and cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, however, no arrest was made till filing this report. The bodies of the policemen were shifted to nearby hospital and later buried at their native villages.APP adds: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has taken cognizance of the firing incidents by unknown armed culprits in Shabqadar Bazar killing two policemen and injuring a passerby and at Cherat Road in Nowshera wherein a doctor of LRH with his brother were injured.He expressed his deep concern on such incidents of unrest and asked for effective steps by the local police, administration and provincial Home Department to bring such anti-social elements to book and controlling crimes anywhere in the province.Pervez Khattak made clear that target killing, theft, robbery and other crimes would never be tolerated in any part of the province at any cost.Hence, he asked the authorities concerned to keep a vigil on criminal activities of anti-social elements and adopt result oriented measures in this regard.He summoned reports of the Shabqadar and Nowshera firing incidents.This news was published in The Nation newspaper.
