Lahore: At least 43 suspected people were arrested from 13 madrassas for their involvement in terrorism activities today, from across Punjab province.

Organizers, in charge and workers of madrassas were among the people arrested from the site. At least 43 people were arrested from the place. The arrested were handed over to the investigative teams and investigation is underway.

According to Punjab Home department sources, during the monitoring process of madrassas 13 Madarras were identified in the province, where extremism ideologies were taught.

The intelligence agencies had also been informed of terrorist training and target operations that were assigned for the particular madrassas.
