AJK marks beginning of sham IHK polls with Black Day

People across Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday took to the streets to observe Black Day to vent off their anger and resentment against staging of New-Delhi sponsored sham elections to the so-called Legislative Assembly of Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
Call for Black Day was given by AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed and backed and supported by all the social, political and religious organizations besides people belonging to all walks of life to express resentment against the farcical elections to the so-called state legislature under the shadow of Indian guns against the wishes of freedom-loving people and their true representative alliance - the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
Protest rallies and processions in all major cities including Muzaffarbad, Mirpur and Rawalakot were the hallmark of the black day. Raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans, participants of the rallies passed through major road and streets.
Addressing the rallies, speakers declared that any sort of elections in the disputed occupied Jammu Kashmir state under the Indian constitution had no legal validity nor could be the substitute to the Kashmiris legitimate right to self-determination.
They declared that the people of Jammu & Kashmir neither had ever accepted the illegal occupation of their motherland by India nor would accept it at any cost in the future.
By observing black day on Tuesday against the Indian elections drama in IOK, the people of Jammu & Kashmir reiterated their complete dissociation and hatred against the Indian occupation, speakers declared while addressing a protest rally on district courts premises here on Tuesday.
Speakers including city mayor Ghulam Rasool Awami, Raja Qaiser Aurangzeb, Amjad Iqbal Ch of National Events organizing Committee, Altaf Hamid Rao, Ch Gulzar Ali, Shakoor Mughal, KD Chaudhry and others recalled that this day 67 years ago in 1947, India occupied the state of Jammu & Kashmir by forcibly landing her troops at Srinagar airport against the aspirations of the people of the state and thereby violating all international norms and commitments. Since then, Indian troops have turned the paradise on the earth into a hell by unleashing bloodshed of over 500,000 innocent people of the state, they pointed out.
The speakers underlined that the people of Jammu & Kashmir rendered unprecedented and matchless sacrifices for a sacred cause and would continue the same spirit with high moral till their freedom struggle reaches its logical end. They vehemently condemned the massive human rights abuses committed by the Indian occupied forces in held Kashmir against Kashmiris for boycotting the so-called elections. Speakers called upon India to show realistic approach towards early peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict to ensure emergence of everlasting and durable peace in South Asia.
“It is the long cherished demand of Kashmiris that they should be granted their birth right to decide about their future under the spirit of internationally-acknowledged UN resolutions”, the speakers urged.
