Aborted rape leads to girls death in Jhang

JHANG - At least four people were killed and another three injured in separate incidents here in the district over the past 48 hours. In first incident, one Muhammad Yaseen, son of Rahmat Ullah and his cousin Muhammad Atique, son of Abdul Majeed were killed in a hit and run accident. As per detail, the incident happened when a speeding truck BUA-2399 hit a motorcycle they were riding on Jhang-Shorkot Road. The Shorkot Police have registered a case and started investigation. In second incident, 13-year-old Samina Parveen, a student of class-7 was brutally murdered by 15-year-old Ramzan, son of Abdul Ghaffar after an aborted rape attempt. After stabbing her to death he threw her dead body in a nearby sugarcane field. The ill-fated girl fell prey to the brutality when she was returning home from school. On the application of her father Manzoor Ahmad, a resident of Mouza Haji Turbat Shah, the Saddar Police have registered a case and arrested Ramzan. In another incident, one Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Mouza Kakki Nou was shot dead by three unidentified armed culprits when he was returning home at 9:00pm along with his two brothers Akram and Khizar Hayat after closing his shop. The Shorkot Cantt Police have registered a case. Meanwhile, three people including Muhammad Khalid, his son Muhammad Anwar and his brother Shahbaz Ali, resident of Chak 328/JB Shorkot were going on a motorcycle when a speeding passenger wagon hit their motorcycle. Resultantly, all the three received serious injuries and were admitted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shorkot. The Shorkot Saddar Police have registered a case. Activist booked for aerial firing : The police have registered a case against prominent PML-N local leader for aerial firing during a wedding ceremony here. As per detail, during the wedding of Naseer Ahmed who is constable in police with the daughter of PML-N local leader Rai Muhammad Aslam Bhatti in Shad Bagh Colony here the other day. Meanwhile, four drunk unidentified participants did aerial firing with automatic weapons which caused panic and harassment among the people of the locality. Upon this, the City Police SHO registered a case against Rai Muhammad Aslam Bhatti, groom constable Naseer Bhatti and four other unidentified people.
