PESHAWAR - The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar has under section 144 Cr.PC banned illegal sale of Afghan SIMs except customer service outlets or registered and authorised agents. Anyone found violating this order shall be liable to be proceeded against under section 188 PPC. This order shall come into force forthwith and shall remain enforced for 30 days unless modified or withdrawn.
CONDITIONS SET FOR NON-LOCALS STAU
The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar has under section 144 Cr.PC banned giving houses/buildings on rent to non-locals without observing the conditions set for it.
As per the conditions, all the property dealers and owners of the houses and property will provide a copy of the agreement reached between the landlord and the tenants and copies of machine-readable passports, CNICs to the respective police stations/housing authority.
Henceforth no building shall be rented out to the non-locals without prior registration in the concerned police stations. If anyone found violating the above orders, shall e dealt with and proceeded against under section 188 PPC. This order shall come in to force at once and shall remain as such for period of thirty days unless or otherwise modified/withdrawn earlier.
PASSPORT OFFICE REMAINS OPEN
On the special directives of Director Headquarter Passport Office Rahman Tanoli, the passport office in Peshawar, will remain open on Saturday for the convenience of people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The officials of the Passport Office Peshawar also appealed to the passport seekers to cooperate with the passport staff to ensure timely delivery of passports. Talking to the media, the Distribution In-charge of passport office Peshawar Sharif Khan said that the staff of passport office is working hard to facilitate the visitors and that is why it has been decided to remain open the office in Peshawar on Saturday.
He also asked the passport seekers to contact the office for the collection of their passports, as more than 5,000 passport copies were already prepared. Sharif informed that the decision of keeping the office open on Saturday despite official off was taken on the special directives of Director Passport Headquarter Rahman Taloni.
He also assured to extend the staff cooperation to passport seekers and no unnecessary delay would be tolerated in this connection. In case of inconvenience or any complaint passport seekers may contact the Distribution In-charge Sharif Khan at Peshawar Office.
