Nation united to root out terror: Pervaiz

ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that the nation was united to root out the menace of terrorism from the country.
He said this during a meeting here on Saturday with Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl(JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence, condemning the suicide attack on JUI-F rally in Quetta. He said that the backbone of terrorists' network has been broken and they were on the run.
The minister said the defeated terrorists were meeting their fate and soon Pakistan would get rid of them and become a peaceful country.
Speaking on the occasion, the JUI-F chief said enemies of Pakistan were trying to destroy the peace of the country but they cannot achieve their nefarious designs.
Pervaiz Rashid lauded the role of Maulana for the promotion of democratic values and parliamentary supremacy. He hoped that JUI-F chief would continue to play his positive role for the cause of peace and political stability in future too.
The minister thanked Allah Almighty for saving the life of Maulana Fazalur Rehman and also prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives in the cowardly act of terror.
Governor Punjab inquires
after JUI-F chief health
Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar visited the residence of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad and enquired after his health.
The governor condemned the murder attempt on Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Quetta.
Meanwhile, Political Secretary to Prime Minister Dr Asif Kirmani also paid a visit to Moulana Fazlur Rehman to inquire after his well being and condemn the suicide attack on him.
He thanked to God Almighty for keeping Moulana safe in life attempt on him. Maulana escaped life attempt on Thursday in Quetta where three people were killed in suicide attack near JUI-F chief.
