LAKKI MARWAT - Awami National Party's District President Advocate Sadruddin has said that people had pinned many hopes on Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf but the PTI-led provincial government has failed on all fronts and it could not deliver during the last over one and half years.
This he said while speaking at the gathering of union council level office-bearers of the party at his residence in Serai Naurang on Saturday. Among others District General Secretary Farmanullah Khan and senior vice presidents including Mamraiz Khan, Fazalur Rahim Khan and Malik Ali Server Khan were also in the attendance.
Sadruddin said that provincial rulers were not concerned with the problems faced by the residents of militancy and terrorism-hit province. He said that chief minister and ministers wasted two months in the so-called sit-in at Islamabad and that they did not pay any heed to resolve the problems of the masses.
"The poor performance of the provincial government has exposed the real face of PTI lawmakers and that is why they are avoiding to meet people," he maintained, calling upon ANP workers to accelerate masses contact campaign to get the sympathies of aggrieved people.
He claimed that the previous ANP government had the credit on its part to fight militancy effectively and put the province on the track to development. "Over eight hundred ANP leaders and workers laid down their lives at the hands of militants for bringing peace and prosperity to the soil of Pakhtuns," he added.
The ANP leader said that he and his spouse former MPA Yasmin Zia would continue to serve the residents of backward district.
On the occasion, Malik Ajmal Khan, Malik Noorza Ali Khan and Malik Naseer Khan along with their supporters joined Awami National Party and pledged that they would spread the message of Bacha Khan and Khan Abdul Wali Khan to the each and every nook and corner of the district.
