Rawalpindi - At least two passengers including a small boy died and 16 others got injured critically when a Rawalpindi-bound passenger van collided with dysfunctional truck parked near Gugan Station Morr on Kohar Road, some kilometres away from Fateh Jang, sources informed here on Saturday.
The van was coming from Kohat when it collided with the parked trawler. Resultantly two passengers died on the spot and sixteen others received injuries. Some seven passengers who sustained critical injuries were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi for treatment while the remaining were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Fateh Jang.
A heavy contingent of police and high-ups of district administration rushed to the spot and reviewed the rescue operation.
Sources said that the driver of van could not see the dysfunctional trawler that had been parked along with road.
The deceased included Nazmin Malik, son of Aziz Ullah, a resident of Kohat, while the identity of second deceased could not be ascertained.
