ACE seeks land corruption record

Gujranwala - The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab director general has ordered the revenue officers to submit complete record in respect of complaints and inquiries against land officials in all the districts of Gujranwala division.

Many citizens have complained to the DG that land record officials are involved in corruption and citizens are compelled to give bribe to get their right. On these applications, the DG ordered the revenue officers and local anti-corruption officers to submit complete record of land record matters for redressal of the citizens’ woes.

CITIZENS DEPRIVED OF CASH, VALUABLES: Citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, laptops and other valuables in various robbery and theft incidents here on Tuesday.

In Ahmed Nagar, the armed men snatched applied for motorcycle, Rs5,000 and cellphone from Azeem; in Nowshera Virkan bandits looted Rs23,000 and two cellphones; in Kamoke Saddr area, robbers snatched Rs30,000 and three cellphones from Haneef; and in Cantt area dacoits looted Rs14,000 and two cellphones from Qaiser.

In Garajkh, Mubashar was deprived of Rs15,000 and cellphone at gunpoint; armed men intercepted Reehana and snatched Rs16,000, gold ornaments and two cellphones, unknown thieves took away cash, gold ornaments, two laptops and other valuables from the house of Hafiz Ullah.

In other theft incidents, applied for motorcycles of Ehsan, Asim, Dillawar and Azam were stolen from different places of the city.
