VEHARI/TOBA TEK SINGH-People from all walks of life condemned the terrorist attack on a police academy in Quetta, and criticised the government for its failure to control terrorism particularly fueled by India in Pakistan.
They vowed not to let the terrorist succeed in their nefarious designs. MPA Saqib Khursheed, Mian Asif, former Vehari Press Club secretary general Naveed iqbal, Waheed Ahmed, Uzma Saleem, Trader Alliance President Irshad Hussain Bhatti, and other notables strongly denounced the suicidal attack. Deploring the loss of precious lives in the incident, Mian Saqib stressed a need for good measures to maintain vigilance and beef up security at national level.
Uzma said no one will be allowed to disturb peace in the homeland that was formed after countless sacrifices. Public needs to be on the same page in the hour of grief while putting aside their differences, she added.
While conversing with the media, Naveed Iqbal stated that foreign elements might be involved in the attack. He added that investigation in this regard was necessary. He stated that agents of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Afghan elements were arrested in Pakistan in the past but no transparent investigations done by the authorities.
They expressed dissatisfaction on the performance of the law-enforcement agencies. There is no security measure in the district Vehari like other areas of Pakistan, they said. Farooq Khan said law-enforcement agencies should have taken right measures before the incident.
The Toba Tek Singh lawyers offered funeral prayer in absentia for the martyrs of Quetta terrorist attack on the tehsil courts premises. It was also participated by Additional District and Sessions Judge Azfar Khan, civil judges Sultan Tipu, Naeem Anjam Faraz, M Arshad and M Ijaz, Bar President Abdul Jabbar Jatt, former president Rana Imran Hafeez Manj and lawyer Sultan Ahmad Khan.
