TOBA TEK SINGH - The District Overseas Pakistanis Committee directed the Gojra Police to get vacated the house of Pakistani origin Canadian woman, from the illegal occupation of her brother.
The issue was raised at a meeting of the District Overseas Pakistanis Committee held here with Additional District Collector (ADC) Ahmad Khawar Shahzad in the chair. The District OPC discussed the application of Ms Sobia Shahzadi, who resides in Canada. She complained that she had purchased a house in Gojra from her sister Uzma Sarwar but later her brother Dr Nasim Sarwar illegally occupied the house.
The Gojra tehsildar in his report informed the committee that charges of the complainant against her brother were found correct as he has been found to have illegally occupied the house in question. The tehsildar report read that Dr Nasim Sarwar has lodged an application under Section 12(2) of CPC just to linger on the matter in the civil court.
The committee asked the Gojra Police to get vacated the house from the possession of the accused and urged the Gojra AC to assist the police in this regard. The committee also discussed complaint of another overseas Pakistani Fawad Ahmad who said that despite repeated applications that he had failed to know his share in his father’s owned property located in Pirmahal.
The participants expressed concern that Pirmahal AC Hafiz Muhammad Najeeb despite directives failed to resolve the issue.
The committee again directed the AC to visit the property site along with revenue patwari, Qanungo and tehsildar and all requisite record be incorporated about his visit along with his visit’s pictures. The committee also disposed of eight other complaints of overseas Pakistanis.
DSP Khalid Bashir, Toba AC Muhammad Shafiq, Kamalia AC Khalid Mahmood and Pirmahal AC Hafiz Muhammad Najeeb also attended the meeting.
