Seeking cooperation from opposition compulsion for govt: Aitzaz

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the Senate Aitzaz Ahsan has said that it was the compulsion of the federal government to seek Opposition’s help.

While talking to journalists here at his residence on Wednesday he said that, when government remembers us, everyone knows it.

He said that our four demands are clear. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto presented four demands in a party rally in Karachi on October 16. Government should accept them.

"Our basic demand is opposition bill on Panama issue," he said adding that this bill should be accepted.

"All the worries can come to an end if government passes this bill," he remarked. This is the demand of Imran Khan as well, he underlined.

No talks in depth were held with government team, four demands were presented before the team, he said. Meeting of combined opposition will be summoned if need be, he added.

Responding to a question he said that Panama leaks issue should not have gone to the Supreme Court. Had government and opposition resolved it together, it would have been better, he added.
