MOHMAND AGENCY - A student of 7th class was gunned down in Mill area of Haleemzai, tehsil of Mohmand agency here on Monday, officials said.

Local administration said that Asad Khan, son of Umar Sher, student of class 7, resident of Babi Khel village was shot dead by Jehangir Raza of Babi Khel here at Mill area on Monday morning when the student was going to school.  After the incident, officials of local administration rushed to the spot, arrested Jehangir Raza and shifted him to Ghalanai lockup.

The motive behind the offence was reportedly old enmity.

Meanwhile, local elders of Prang Ghar held a jirga in Prang Ghar and they voluntarily handed over two drug peddlers identified as Abdullah and Nauroz Khan to the local administration.

Moreover, security forces continued their search operation in Bahai Kor area of tehsil Ekkaghund and properly checked the weapons of villagers.
