Four cars, five bikes lifted; shop looted

Rawalpindi - Auto thieves lifted four vehicles and five motorcycles from different localities of the district while dacoits looted gold from a jewellery shop here at Banni area, informed sources on Thursday.
Police registered cases and started investigation. According to sources, unknown car lifter picked up Fawad Amin’s car (IDG-4561) from the limits of Police Station (PS) City, while a carry van bearing registration number FDA-4159 owned by Aftab and an official car (AJKF-7150) of Shafqat were stolen from the precincts of PS cantonment. Similarly a car (UE-848) of Nasir was taken away by unknown auto thieves from the area of PS Civil Line.
Similarly, five motorcycles (RIO-6056, RIL-6813, RIM-2763, BRC-2460, RIO-9831) have been lifted by unknown auto thieves from the areas of police stations Ganjmandi, New Town, Sadiqabad, Naseerabad and RA Bazaar. On the other hand, two armed robbers stormed into a jeweller’s shop at Banni and made the jewellers hostage at gunpoint. Later, the dacoits looted 7 tolas of gold and fled.
