Inquiry should start from Nawaz: JI chief

MULTAN - Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Sirajul Haq has demanded immediate constitution of a commission on Panama Leaks, stating that the accountability process should start from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing the participants of Takmeel-e-Pakistan Kashmir March here at Chowk Kachehri on Friday, he further demanded that the Supreme Court to take suo moto notice against those who got their loans written off.

"The accountability should begin from Prime Minister and then Zardari, Imran Khan and other corrupt elements be held accountable. I present myself for accountability too," he added.

He declared that JI would eliminate corruption, unemployment and lawlessness from the country besides offering free education to the children.

He said that the proposed commission should not be like Hamood ur Rehman or Abbottabad Commissions.

He declared that the JI would go to Islamabad in next phase but it would not support any extra-constitutional step.

"We want such a change that is within the limits of Constitution and law," he added.

He said that the masses were the real guards of the country and they would safeguard their motherland from all enemies. He said that the JI workers would fight like the Maj. Aziz Bhatti, Maj. Tufail and Col. Sher Khan Shaheeds to protect the country.

He said that the migrants raised the slogans of Kalma-e-Shahadat and Long Live Pakistan when they were martyred by Hindus and laid down their lives for the sake of Pakistan.

He said that Quaid-i-Azam had clearly stated that Pakistan did not need any manifesto in presence of Holy Quran and a State like Madina would be established. "People migrated for a Madina-like State. They did not sacrifice their lives for the Chaudhris of Punjab, Sardars of Balochistan, Waderas of Sindh and Maliks of KPK," he added.

He said that Altaf Hussain challenged the honour of 200 million and the sacrifices of migrants.

He demanded the British government to extradite Altaf Hussain to Pakistan so that he could be tried for treason.

He said that the posters of Altaf hussain were taken down in Karachi and Hyderabad which proved that the people hated him.

He said that the completion of Pakistan would take place when the Chief Justice of Pakistan would be holding Holy Quran in his hand instead of English law and President as well as Prime Minister would come to Masjid for prayer after Azan.

He declared that the JI would distribute the wealth of looters among the poor. He said that the rulers went to London for their medical treatment while the children of poor died in streets due to denial of healthcare facilities.

He said that the country presented the view of Karbala and Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar were red with the blood of the innocent people.

He said that the rulers imported terrorism against dollars and the hand of agencies was behind bloodshed. 

Referring to Kashmir, he said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris would bring fruit.

He lamented that the Kashmiris raised the slogans of Long Live Pakistan while on the other hand our rulers sent the gift of mangoes to Indian rulers. He declared that the Kashmiris would hoist Pakistani flag on August 14.

He pointed out that the rulers exploited South Punjab and its residents.

"They have educational institutions but without teachers. They have hospitals but without doctors. Our sisters and mothers walk miles to fetch water in today's advanced world," he lamented.

He declared that he would fight the case of South Punjab in Senate and get the deprived their rights. He said that police dismantled the camp of JI which was condemnable.

He warned that Raiwind was not far from Lahore and if police harmed the JI workers in Multan, their comrades would crush Raiwind with public power. He said that the JI had tabled a bill against corruption in the Assembly while a petition in  Supreme Court had also been filed.

"If we do not get justice from the court, we'll move public's court and the people will send the looters to Adiala jail," he stated.

Speaking on the occasion, MNA Jamshed Dasti demanded public hanging of thieves, looters, hooligans, corrupt bureaucrats and corrupt politicians.

He said that the country had a serious threat from the financial terrorists, who turned politics into their business.

JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, Ameer JI Punjab Mian Maqsood Ahmad and others also spoke on this occasion.

Earlier, the participants of the rally marched between Daulat Gate Chowk and Kachehri. They were holding JI and national flags, placards and banners inscribed with different slogans.
