PTI NOT SERIOUS IN SOLVING
PROBLEMS: SHERPAO
Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao Thursday alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was not serious in resolving problems being faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as not a single development project was initiated in the province during last six months. He said that PTI had totally failed to fulfil a single promise that it had pledged during last elections with the people of this province.
Aftab Sherpao said this while addressing a news conference after the joint meeting of central and provincial executive councils of his party on Thursday. He said that coalition government in KPK was pushing the province towards isolation on international level by adopting the politics of confrontation and agitation.
On this occasion, the QWP executive council bodies dissolved provincial and district organizations of the party to launch membership campaign from January 1, 2014 and hold intra-party polls in February. Former Senator Haji Ghufran was nominated as provincial chief organiser of the party while Justice (Retd) Shah Jehan was made as chief election commissioner for intra-party elections.
“It is crystal clear that on one side heads of various states and foreign investors were visiting Punjab province to boost up the image and economy of the province while on the other side traders and industrialists were leaving the province due to poor law and order,” he explained.
He maintained that PTI Chief Imran Khan was not interested in resolving the problems of people of KPK who voted him to rule the province for improving governance and brining a change but there is no change on the ground.
He alleged that law and order is deteriorating while trend of kidnapping for ransom, extortion and lawlessness in the province are also increasing day by day. He said that the provincial government is so for running on consultants and working groups where the ministers and elected representatives had no role.
He said that even the provincial assembly was lacking standing committees and everything has been running on adhocism. Aftab Sherpao reminded the PTI government to take disciplinary action against the corrupt and dishonest ministers in the present provincial cabinet.
