Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said democracy came back in Pakistan just because of sacrifice of his mother, Waqt News reported. He was addressing a rally on Benazir Bhutto's death anniversary at Garhi Shahoo.
While addressing the crowd he claimed that PPP has always been targeted and it leaders killed through false cases. “Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was the first one to be target-killed,” he said. “Bhutto is alive in the history and will remain so,” he stated.
“Shaheed Benazir Bhutto challenged terrorists. She gave her life but never surrendered in front of the terrorists,” he said. “Leading a life as a Bhutto is not easy. It is up to the individual whether he supports the cruel or poor,” he claimed.
He further claimed if he came to power he will not let the economic murder of Pakistan happen. “Oil is cheap in international market, but the leverage is not been given to common people by current government,” he pointed out.
While addressing the ruling party he stated that Nawaz-League is trying to indulge Sindh and PPP in unimportant issues. “People should stand against the policies of N-League,” he exclaimed. “Why are you selling PIA and Steel Mills?” he asked PM Nawaz Sharif.
Talking about the regional security scenario he stated that the flags of ISIS can be seen on the land of Afghanistan. “We all know the security issues in Afghanistan directly affect Pakistan,” he said.
“ The current National Action Plan is not the plan agreed by all parties rather it is Noon-League Action Plan,” he said while criticizing the ruling party. “Efforts are being made to weaken the Pakistan Army,” he claimed.
He further stated that the PPP's detractors are facilitators of terrorists. “I want to ask these facilitators, how many more funerals will you lift from my home?”“There are terrorists in Punjab also. Why is the operation only in Sindh,” he asked.
“If our demands are not accepted then there will be Dama Dam Mast Qalandar around the country.”
