Woman among four dead

PAKPATTAN/PASRUR/KOT RADHA KISHAN/OKARA - Four persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents of dacoity and enmity over the past 24 hours.
According to detail, a jeweller was murdered over putting up resistance during a dacoity here the other day.
The incident occurred when three armed dacoits entered a jeweller shop situated at Arshi Street and looted gold worth millions of rupees from the shop at around 11am. In the meanwhile they fired gunshots on Rana liaqat Ali when he offered resistance, killing him on the spot.
Following the incident traders observed a shut down and staged a protest. They damaged a police vehicle and misbehaved with police officials. They also stopped a train. The traders blamed that the police had failed to control law and order situation in the area.
In PASRUR, three brothers shot dead their rival over old enmity. Accused Waseem, Tanveer and Naeem, residents of Malaney were lying the wait Chobara area and as soon as Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Noli, reached their on his motorbike, they shot him dead. The police have registered FIR against the accused.
Similarly in KOT RADHA KISHAN - A businessman was shot dead at Kot Rukan Din Khan. The police said that Malik Riaz of Kot Usman Khan was on his way to home when an unidentified accused shot him dead. The City A Division Police have registered a case.
Meanwhile in OKARA, an eight months pregnant teacher was killed over a love marriage in Judraka area.
Reportedly, Mumtaz Hussain and her eight months pregnant wife Shaheen Akhtar were present in a private school adjacent to their house in Jundraka when two armed men identified as Tufail, son of Mulla, and Hashim Ali barged stormed in and opened fire on the woman after torturing them. As a result, she died on the spot.
Shaheen Akhtar was a school teacher and had married Mumtaz on her own free will. Mumtaz Hussain filed a case with the police and alleged that the criminals killed her wife on the instigation of her first wife Firdous Bibi.
