Toronto- Former President and chief of All Pakistan Muslim League Pervaiz Musharraf said the PML-N government has failed in every field and crossed all the limits of bad governance. He warned that if this state of affairs continued, the international community would start considering Pakistan as a failed state.

Addressing party workers in Toronto over the telephone, Musharraf said how a government would defend the country which was ignorant of its oil reserves. He said the PM had to hold meetings on daily basis to get information about oil reserves, what was the benefit of an army of advisors and Ministers.

The former President said that world is being told that Pakistan lacks resources, while the country is rich in resources and the people have all the capabilities.  He said what is needed is good governance and an honest leadership. He said a proof of this was the tenure of his eight year rule. He said when they took over the forex reserves were only 400 million which reached $ 18.4 billion and they left the IMF for any assistance.  He said many mega projects were completed during his tenure while job opportunities for the people were in abundance.

The former President said, during his rule the prestige of the country was raised and defense strengthened. He claimed that he gave the people gift of real democracy. He said he organized local bodies’ elections and devolved powers to the lower level.  

The gathering, participated by Pakistanis from across Canada was also addressed by central secretary general of APML Dr Mohammad Amjad and other leaders. Dr Amjad said every day there is one crisis or the other in Pakistan and Pakistan has become a joke.

He said the government wants to complete its tenure by making non issues as issues. He strongly criticized the government for using delaying tactics and not allowing Pervez Musharraf to go to Saudi Arabia to condole the death of King Abdullah.
