PESHAWAR - Chairperson Awami National Party-Wali Group Begum Naseem Wali Khan has said that Pakhtuns could not forget the barbaric incident of Army Public School Peshawar and asked the PTI-led provincial government to focus on issues instead of dreaming to rule the country.
Addressing the death anniversary of ANP founding father Abdul Wali Khan and non-violent Philosopher Bacha Khan on Monday, Naseem said that Imran Khan was a social worker and he has no concern with politics. She said that the PTI chairman should first learn to do politics and then chant the slogan for change. Provincial President Farid Tofan, central leader Aurangzeb Kansi and Provincial Information Secretary Attifur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
Regarding peace in the country, she said that both Pakistan and Afghanistan should join hands to fight the menace of terrorism as peace of both the countries is linked with each other. She maintained that Khan Abdul Wali Khan had always stressed unity of Pakhtuns and non-interference in the affairs of others, but the rulers at that time did not realize the gravity of the situation and that was the reason that Pakistan was facing the consequences of that flawed policy. She appreciated the National Action Plan against terrorism and asked the government to implement it without any further delay. On this occasion, Farid Tofan paid tributes to Abdul Wali Khan and Bacha Khan who rendered numerous sacrifices against the imperialist powers through their non-violent philosophy.
