Militants kidnap five miners in Quetta

Quetta- Unidentified armed men today kidnapped five coal miners in Sorenge area of Quetta.

According to Police sources, armed men kidnapped seven miners belonging to the Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation in the area. The kidnappers later freed two coal miners and took the other five abductees to nearby mountains.

Chief mines inspector Balochistan Iftikhar Ahmed said that five coal miners are still with kidnappers.

Personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) and police reached the site launching a search operation, to recover the hostages. There was no claim of responsibility for the kidnapping. The kidnappers also burnt electricity generator in the mines, during kidnapping of the miners.
