Dialogue imperative to resolve problems in Middle East: Pakistan

NEW YORK: Pakistan's Permanent Representative at the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi says dialogue is imperative to resolve problems in Middle Eastern countries, state media reported today.

This she said while taking part in the discussion at the UN Security Council in New York. Maleeha Lodhi said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is making efforts to promote harmony in the region.

She pointed out the Prime Minister made efforts to end tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran. She emphasized that OIC can play an important role in ending conflict and for durable peace in the region.
