Okara - Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo said the PPP-led government is working for national reconciliation.
"The government will complete constitutional tenure and no one will be allowed to violate human rights. It is the desire of N League not to let the government complete its tenure," he said while talking to the media and the party workers in Wasaveywala.
He said when Mian Brothers were behind bars, they negotiated with Pervez Musharraf and found asylum in Saudi Arabia. He added that only the sagacious strategy of President Zardari made Maulana Fazalur Rehman including most of the political parties sit in the coalition. He said in Multan, the N League, Tehrik-e-Insaf including many other anti-government political parties tried to defeat ex- prime minister's son Abdul Qadir Gillani in by-election. The Punjab government utilised government machinery to do the same but the people of Multan cast their votes for Gilani.
Wattoo said the PPP leaders respected the judiciary and there was no constitutional crisis in the country and all institutions are working within their limits. To see the power of the PPP, Mian Brothers should wait till the elections. In the coming elections, the PPP will form government in Punjab as well.
