WASHINGTON : A prominent Kashmiri activist, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, has paid tributes to the late Majid Nizami, a veteran Pakistani journalist and head of Nawa-i-Waqt Group of Publications, “as a true friend and advocate of the oppressed people of Kashmir.” In a press statement, Fai, who is Secretary General of World Kashmir Awareness, said the Kashmiri-American community is saddened by the news of Nizami’s demise.
“He was a kind, compassionate and thoughtful personality. He was, undoubtedly, a true friend and advocate of the oppressed people of Kashmir who always stood as a giant in the Kashmir’s turbulent history.”
