Holding sit-ins to pressurize the courts is unjustified: Pervaiz Rashid

ISLAMABAD- Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that the nation had rejected the politics of chaos in May 11 elections. The so-called ‘tsunami march’ promoting chaos will also meet the same fate, he added.

In a statement, he said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has the constitutional right to approach superior judiciary as they did after the defeat in 2013 general elections, but holding sit-ins to pressurize the courts is unjustified.

Rashid said it is the responsibility of the government to provide legal cover to armed forces.
