Sale of chemical-mixed milk on the rise

KAMALIA -Unhygienic milk is being sold at Kamalia city and its surrounding areas as milkmen in addition to water, also add some chemicals to milk so as to thicken it. The chemicals play havoc with the consumers' health. Children and the elderly are falling ill due to the adulterated milk. Patients of stomach diseases are taken to the hospitals daily.
Citizens and social circles have demanded that CM Punjab and higher authorities of Health Department must take immediate note of the criminals that are playing with the lives of the people. Deputy District Health Officer Dr Shaukat Ali said that citizens should inform about such practice and they will take action accordingly.
FESCO NICKS 16 POWER PILFERERS
The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has conducted a special operation against power pilferers and caught 16 thieves. The company got registered cases against the culprits and recovered fine Rs1.6 million.
The operation was supervised by Fesco Kamalia Division XEN Mehr Muhammad Afzal Kathia. According to the Fesco, cases were registered against the pilferers at various police stations of Kamalia.
Talking to this reporter, XEN Kathia pledged to continue the operation against electricity thieves without any favour and pressure.
