2 security men killed in Mashkay bomb attack

quetta  - At least two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed and three others sustained injures in a remote-controlled bomb attack in Awaran District, on Wednesday.
According to the FC spokesman, an armoured vehicle was on its way when came under an ambush in Nokjo area of Tehsil Mashkay. As a result, two security personnel were killed and three others sustained injures. “The bomb planted on a roadside was detonated through a remote-controlled device,” the official said. The law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area shortly after the incident. The deceased and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
The banned Baloch Liberation Front claimed responsibility of the attack.
Meanwhile, at least eight members of Tabligi Jamaat were abducted in tehsil Jaho area of Awaran district. Sources said some armed men came on motorcycles, abducted eight people and headed towards an undisclosed location. The Jaho area is far from district headquarters with rugged terrain and no communication lines. A special team headed by Jaho tehsildar has been formed for recovery of the abducted preachers. However, nobody has claimed responsibility of the incident.
On the other hand, five prisoners managed to escape from Qilla Saifullah District Jail. The prisoners who had been sentenced various charges have been identified as Naseebullah, Naimatullah, Shamsullah, Dawood Khan and Gul Muhammad. Police said that three of the prisoners belonged to Qilla Saifullah, Pishin and Muslim Bagh while the remaining two are from Afghanistan.
