Disabled worker puts kids up for sale

GUJRANWALA
Poverty and disability forced a man to put his children up for sale at Pindi Bypass.
Muhammad Hanif, a resident of Lambanwali, reached Pindi Bypass along with his 14-year-old son Usman and 10-year=-old daughter Safina, holding a banner inscribed with “children for sale”. He stood there for many hours and appealed to the people to buy them. He said that he had become disabled of his legs about two years ago after being hit by a crane during construction work of a flyover on GT Road Gujranwala.
He said after the incident, he had become jobless and all of his saving had been spent on his treatment. He said he had no source of income to feed his family. He said he had decided to either commit suicide or hand over the children to some rich people who could bring them up.
