Opposition threatens to disrupt budget session in Punjab Assembly

LAHORE- The opposition parties in the Punjab Assembly (PA) today threatened to disrupt budget session in the house, if development funds were not released to them.
The session was held under Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal. The opposition continued its protest against non-releasing of development funds. The opposition parties have been accusing of withhelding their uplift funds, adding only MPAs belonging to ruling party were being released such funds.
PML-N MPA Uzma Zahid moved the resolution on proceedings of acid-throwing cases in the Anti-terrorism court was approved. Another resolution pertained to demand of increasing salaries of PTV employees was also adopted by the house. Opposition leader, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed, however, threatened that they would now allow running budget session if development funds to opposition MPAs were not released.
