AC for promoting tax culture

HAFIZABAD: Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue Faiza Bashir has stressed the need for a tax culture among the business community and urged them to file their income tax returns and avail the facilities provided by the government in the new income tax policy. Addressing the businessmen here, she highlighted various new methods for filing income tax returns for the current financial year. She expressed her hope that the traders would file their returns by September 30. Prominent among those who also spoke included Inspectors - Mian Haq Nawaz Bhatti, Ghazanfar Ali and Malik Iftikhar. 297 APPLY FOR LASER LEVELLERS: As many as 297 small growers of the district have submitted their applications to get Laser Levellers, said DO Water Management Shahid Saleem here.He said that to promote modern technology for getting batter output, he said that 17 lucky small growers of the district would be provided subsidised Laser Levellers by drawing computerized ballot on Tuesday. He said that the government would provide Rs2,25,000 per leveller.TMO assumes charge: The performance of duty is the first and foremost obligation for TMA staff. This was stated by newly appointed TMO Rana Mehboob Alam while talking to newsmen after assuming charge of the post. On the occasion, the delegation of journalists briefed the TMO about burning issues of the city.
