Balochistan Assembly passes resolution against India

QUETTA - The lawmakers in the session of the Balochistan Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution, condemning statement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Balochistan and demanded of the federal government to take up the issue of statement with the United Nations and international community.

Speaker Ms Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani presided over the assembly session here Saturday.

Adviser to Chief Minister on Mines and Minerals Haji Muhammad Khan Lehri tabled the joint resolution on behalf of Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Health Minister Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Minister for Agriculture Sardar Aslam Bezinjo, Adviser to Chief Minister Sardar Raza Baraich, Adviser to Chief Minister Mir Amanullah Notezai, MPAs Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Haji Muhammad Islam, Mir Asim Kurd, Manzoor Ahmed Khan, Mir Khalid and Ms Husan Bano Rakhshani which reads that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent statement had proved that India was involved in terrorism in Balochistan.

"Indian premier's statement is a violation of independence and sovereignty of Pakistan and charter of the United Nations," the resolution said, adding that it is responsibility of the nation to reply Indian prime minister's statement.

The resolution strongly condemned the statement of Narendra Modi and demanded of the federal government to take up the issue of controversial statement with the United Nations and world community.
