LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Istaqlal (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has said that a petition will be filed in the supreme court on Monday against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in connection with the Panama Leaks scandal.
Talking to media persons here on Sunday, Imran Khan said necessary consultations have been held for filing the petition.
He said the September 3rd rally in Lahore will prove that the masses were supporting the PTI stance about accountability of the corrupt.
He said he would send delegates for meeting with all the political parties to ask them to join the rally. He said they will take all parties along and hoped that their leaders would come on their own containers.
In reply to a question he said they would also ask the Supreme Court to take samples of five thousand votes which NADRA has refused to verify. He said it is surprising that NADRA is unable to verify one lakh votes out of one and a half lakh. He claimed that he has information from sources inside NADRA that it was deliberately avoiding to verify the thump impressions.
Regarding filing of case against Altaf Hussain, Imran Khan said the government should approach the United Kingdom for filing a case against the MQM supremo for inciting violence. He said a case for inciting violence can be filed in UK and pointed out that after his speech, media channels were attacked and there was damage to property.
About the venomous speech of Altaf Hussain, PTI chief said even enemies of Pakistan do not make such dangerous speeches againstPakistan. He said Altaf Hussain’s speech is more poisonous than Indian Prime Minister’s speed on Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. He said no Indian political party could function if an allegation is made of receiving funds from ISI where as MQM is being given relaxation despite repeated statements and proofs of RAW funding the party.
Asked to comment on fine on TV channels for wrongly reporting about his marriage, Imran Khan said it is a minor fine for TV channels. He pointed out that pictures have been published of ladies, who are married and have children. He said media should verify before reporting such stories.
