Light rain in Malakand forecast



PESHAWAR  - The Meteorological Office here Sunday forecast light rain with snowfall over the hills of Malkand division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.
According to met office, the light rain was expected on mountains of Malam Jabba, Kalam and Madyan areas of Swat Valley also along with snowfalls that will make the weather chilly and cold.
The weather of Peshawar, Kohat and Abbottabad districts will remain partly cloudy while light rain is predicted for Prachinar and Kurram Agency.
A shallow trough of westerly wave is prevailing over northern parts of the country and likely to persist for next 24 hours.
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however, light rain with snowfall over the hills likely in Malakand division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
In next 48 hours, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country in last 24 hours.
Skardu remained the coldest place of the country with 17C followed by Astore 15C, Parachinar and Hunza 9C, Gupis 8C, Kalam 7 & Gilgit 06C, Kalat 5C, Bujni and Rawalakot 4C while pollen count is 7 per cubic meter.
