Opp issues Punjab govt 2-day ultimatum for Orange Line answers

Punjab Assembly Opposition has given a two-day ultimatum to the Punjab government regarding Orange Line Project. Opposition leaders told the media that if the government does not address their objections regarding the project then massive protests will be launched.

Opposition leader Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed said, “We want CM (Shahbaz Sharif) to come to the Assembly and address the apprehensions on the project. If this does not happen then we will show people power in Chauburji Chowk after two days. “

The proposed Orange Line Metro Train Project has been criticised by both experts and the local masses. Yesterday a mob attacked the under construction route and destroyed the barriers and other construction material on Multan Road.

Recently United Nations experts urged Pakistan to halt the construction of Orange Line saying that it would endanger historical sites including Chauburji and Shalimar Gardens.
