PESHAWAR - Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has strongly opposed the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan Agency and urged to peacefully resolve the issue as use of force is not a solution rather it will create further instability in the country.
Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club, the newly elected JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan said that his party had always opposed military action in tribal areas, as it multiplied miseries of innocent tribal people instead to bring positive results.

Maulana Gul Naseeb recalled the PML-N led federal government got a mandate from all political parties to hold negotiation with Taliban for sustainable peace that was also backed by the military establishment. But, he said the federal government decided to launch military operation in North Waziristan and did not take the political parties particularly JUI-F, its coalition partner, into confidence in this connection.
He also criticised the federal government for poor arrangements for the internally uprooted people from the tribal agency in the wake of ongoing military action. He said it was prime obligation of the central and provincial governments to provide adequate facilities to displaced families but they did not prepare any contingency plan to cope with situation.
Owing the lack of basic facilities, Maulana Gul Naseeb said the IDPs were facing numerous difficulties. He said the displaced preferred to reside with their relative in different parts of the province rather to stay in the government established camps in FR Bannu. He also slammed the Punjab and Sindh governments for imposing a ban on entering and hosting of internally displaced people.
Commenting on the performance of PTI-led provincial government, he said the incumbent KP government was deviating from its pre-elections promises and did not practically to give any sort of relief to masses in the province. He said lawlessness, kidnapping for ransom, and extortion incidents are on the rise in the province and people are feeling insecure under the present deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He asked the provincial government to fulfill its pre-elections commitments and warned if it failed to do so then the JUI-F along with other opposition parties in KP would launch a movement against the prevailing situation in the province.
