PESHAWAR - Jamiat Ittihad-ul-Ulema, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, President and former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali Tuesday said that the provincial government would soon succumb to the pressure of religious scholars, who launched a successful movement against government’s ‘conspiracy’ to bring amendments to syllabus.Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali was addressing a press conference along with Maulana Dr Atta-ur-Rahman, Maulana Hanifullah and Qari Ahmad Saeed here at Peshawar Pres Club.
He said though the government adjourned decision regarding implementation of new syllabus, yet they would continue their struggle until issuance of notification for restoration of syllabus in its old position.
He maintained that for the last several years conspiracies were being made by western powers to bring changes in Pakistani syllabus, especially excluding those verses which have been stated in the Holy Quran regarding Jihad and Munafiqeen (Hypocrites).
He demanded investigations into the sensitive issue so as to identify those elements who are fulfilling the western agenda in Pakistan.
He stressed the government to immediately issue notification regarding the restoration of the syllabus in its old position.
