JI names candidates for NA, PA seats


PESHAWAR - The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Wednesday announced the names of party candidates for the national and provincial assemblies’ seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata to contest the upcoming general elections.
The JI KPK chapter General Secretary Shabir Ahmad Khan announced 33 names of the party nominees for the National Assembly seats and 88 for provincial assembly seats. He announced that 11 candidates would contest elections on National Assembly seats from Fata.
The list of nominees who secured JI tickets for contesting elections on the National Assembly seats include Shabir Ahmad Khan from NA-1, Dr Iqbal Khalil from NA-2, Israrullah from NA-3 and Sabir Hussain Awan from (NA-4) Peshawar would contest election.
While Asif Luqman Qazi will contest elections from NA-5, and Mirajud Din from NA-7, Nowshera, Arshad Khan from NA-8, and Maulana Abdul Mustaan Khan from Charsadda, Ataur Rahman advocate from NA-9, Maulana Sultan Muhammad NA-10, Gul Nawaz Khan NA-11 Mardan, and Muhammad Usman Khan advocate NA-12, and Amir Nawaz Khan NA-13 district Swabi, Maulana Tasleem Iqbal NA-15 Karak, Habibur Rahman Abasi NA-17, Wahid Akhtar Tanoli NA-18 from Mansehra, Ghulam Nabi advocate NA-19 Haripur, Haji Muhammad Younas Khatak NA-20 and Maulana Abdul Malik NA-21 Mansehra, Nisar Ahmad Khan NA-22 Batgram, Maulana Noorul Haq NA-23 Kohistan, and Zahid Muhibullah advocate from NA-24 D.I.Khan.
Similarly, party provincial chief Prof Ibrahim Khan will contest from NA-26 Bannu, Prof Sher Ghulam NA-27 Lakki Marwat, Sher Akbar Khan NA-28 Buner, Akhtar Ali Khan NA-29 and Fazal Subhan NA-30 Swat, Abdul Akbar Chitrali NA-31 Chitral, Karam Elahi NA-32 will contest the upcoming elections at JI tickets.
Likewise, in Fata Malik Muhammad Saeed Khan NA-36 Mohmand Agency, Hikmat Khan NA-37, and Haji Saleem Khan NA-38 Kurram Agency, Raj Muhammad Orakzai NA-39 Orakzai Agency, Malik Mashal Khan NA-40 North Waziristan Agency, Abdur Rahman NA-41 and Dr Samiullah Jan NA-42 South Waziristan Agency, Sahibzada Haroonu Rashid NA-43 and Sardar Khan NA-44 from Bajaur Agency, Zarnoor Afrdi NA-45, and Shah Faisal Afridi NA-46 Khyber Agency, and Haji Muhammad Rasool NA-47 Frontier Regions.
Prominent among those who will contest on 88 provincial assembly seats include JI district Ameer Bahrullah advocate from PK-1, Sirajud Din Qurishi PK-2, Khalid Gul Mohmand PK-3, Rian Bacha PK-4, Mian Anwar Said PK-5, former provincial minister Kashif Azam PK-6, JI former minister Hafiz Hashmat Khan PK-7, Fazlullah Daudzai PK-8, Hamdullah Jan PK-9.
Javid Momand from PK-10, Haji Niaz Muhammad PK-11 from Peshawar, while from Nowshra Maulana Samiur Rahman PK-12, and Asif Luqman Qazi (son of JI former Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad) PK-14, Mirajud Din PK-15, and Haji Inyatur Rahman PK-16 will contect elections.
Six JI candidates will contest from all seat of district Charsada and from Mardan, eight candidates, including former minister Fazl-e-Rabbani, will take part in elections.
From Swabi, JI Provincial Naib Ameer Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and six other candidates will contest election.
From Kohat, Malik Zafar Awan and three other nominees will contest elections, while Maulana Samiur Rahman will contest from PK-40. 
The party will field their candidates at all Haripur Mansehra seats.
From Batgram, Kohistan and Bannu two from each constituency will contest whil from D.I.Khan and Lakki Marwat three from each will contest.
Similarly, from district Buner, JI former speaker provincial assembly Bakht Jehan Khan and three other candidates will contest polls, from Swat, seven JI candidates, from Shangla Fida Muhammad Khan and Bakht Biland Khan, from Chitral Maulana Ghulam Muhammad, Sher Aziz PK-90, and from Dir Upper three candidates, including party former minister Inyatullah Khan, and from Lower Dir four candidates, including JI Central Naib Ameer and former senior minister Sirajul Haq, Sultant Yar, and from Malakand-I Maulana Jamalud Din and from Malakand-II, JI former minister Shah Raz Khan will contest the upcoming elections.
