LAKKI MARWAT - The Anti Corruption Establishment Lakki Marwat has tightened noose around absent government employees, making recoveries of over one million rupees from the employees of education department and municipal committee for absent period.
A special campaign was started on the directives of ACE Provincial Director Ziaullah Toru to curb absentee of government servants and improve their attendance, said ACE Lakki circle officer Shahid Adnan.
He said that Assistant Director Abdul Hai Baber was supervising the campaign in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts.
The ACE team caught several employees of education department and municipal committee Naurang who were absent from duty since long,” he maintained. He said that ACE officials made recovery of Rs3,63,000 from a class IV employee of education department while Rs8,97,000 were recovered from absent employees of civic body. “The recovered amount was deposited in the government exchequer,” he added, saying that the campaign against absent employees by Anti Corruption Establishment will continue in the coming days.
