Elections results put question mark on big guns’ future

NOORPUR THAL
The unexpected results of May 11 general elections have put a question mark on the political future of Thal’s political big guns including Malik Khuda Bakhsh Khan Tiwana and former MNA Sardar Shuja Muhammad Khan.
They both were defeated by PML-N’s candidates Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu from PP-42 and Malik Shakir Bashir Awan from NA-70 putting the political future of the big wigs at stake.
On the other hand, the PPP suffered a sever blow as it had lost all the seats in Khushab District in the general elections. Moreover, the PTI also had lost all the seats in Khushab while the PML-N has won two national and four provincial assembly seats in district with a vast majority.
Meanwhile, the newly elected PML-N MNA Malik Shabir Bashir Awan and MPA Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu during their jointly press conference said that the far-flung areas of the Thal were in dire needs of basic facilities.
They said that major projects would be launched in these villages soon. They said that the villages of Kadhi would be saved from flood. They also pledged to make an all-out effort to facilitate all the backward areas of the Thal.
