SAHIWAL - The funeral for Capt Usman Ali Shaheed, who embraced martyrdom in Nato attack on Pakistani security checkpoint, was offered here after Asr prayers at 4:30pm at Fareedia Park on Sunday. Punjab Zakat and Ushr Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran and MNA Pir Imran Ahmed Shah along with thousands of people from all walks of life attended the funeral. Besides a number of military and civil officers also participated in the funeral which could be called the biggest in the history of Sahiwal. Guard of honour was presented to the martyr on the eve of his burial in Mahi Shah Graveyard. Capt Shaheed Usman Ali is survived by his widow and a two-month-old daughter. He was married 13 months back. Quran Khawani for the departed soul will be held in Madina Masjid Nai Abadi on Monday at 8:00am in the morning.
