Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has constituted a committee for land acquisition for western route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and identification of sites for industrial zones along the route.
The committee was formed after the prime minister held a meeting with ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan, who told the premier that non-initiation of work on the western route of the CPEC was causing suspicious and frustration among the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkwa.
Chairman Board of Investment would be convener of the committee while Chief Secretaries of K-P and Balochistan, Chairman NHA, and representatives of Ministries of Finance, Industries, Water and Power and Petroleum will be its members.
