Khyber Agency: 21 alleged militants killed in military action

Peshawar- At least six militants were killed when the security forces responded to an overnight terrorist attack on a security check post near Ghundi in Khyber Agency, officials said.
According to the security sources, some militants launched an armed assault on a Frontier Corps (FC) check post near Ghundi area of Jamrud. However, the security personnel foiled the attack and retaliated with force, killing six militants of the militants, while the others escaped. There is no immediate report if any of the on-duty security personnels sustained wounds. The security sources said the FC personnel kick-started search operation in the area soon after the attack. Earlier, fifteen more militants have been killed in aerial attacks in Shawal area of North Waziristan during the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation. According to ISPR, those killed also included foreign militants. Five hideouts of terrorists were also destroyed in the attacks.
