BAHAWALNAGAR-A man along with his three minor children - two girls and a boy - was crushed to death by a speeding passenger bus here in the remit of Saddr Police on Tuesday.
According to Rescue 1122, Murad, resident of Chak 328/HR Marot, was on the way on a bike along with his three children. In the meanwhile near a cigarette factory, a speeding Lahore-bound passenger bus, coming from Chishtian, hit the motorcycle head-on. Resultantly, Murad along with his 10-year-old daughter Zulekhan and seven-year-old son Sikandar died on the spot while another daughter 12-year-old Azra sustained critical wounds. A team of Rescue1122 rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies and the injured girl to DHQ Hospital Bahawalnagar where Azhra also breathed her last.
According to the police, the ill-fate family had come to attend a wedding at Dhudian in Mauza Jhulan Arian.
The bus driver, however, managed to escape the scene while the police have registered a case against him.
