Non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Sattar, Altaf

KARACHI: An Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Farooq Sattar, founder Altaf Hussain, and other accused in the cases of attacks on media houses, violence and treason.

It should be mentioned here that the ATC received challans of two cases.

The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for MQM activists Qamar Mansoor and Shahid Pasha.

It is pertinent to note here police had already booked MQM leaders and office-bearers for attending a party’s gathering at Karachi Press Club where Altaf Hussain reviled against Pakistan and the armed forces.

The charges included mapping out conspiracies against the state, maligning its institutions and inciting workers to violence.
