ISLAMABAD : Recommending a marginal cut in the prices of petroleum products for the coming month of May, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Monday forwarded a summary to Petroleum and Finance ministries. According to sources, Ogra has proposed reducing petrol's price by 34 paisas per litre, kerosene oil by Rs3.08 per litre and light diesel by 93 paisas per litre. It has also recommended slashing the price of high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 4.51 per litre and hi-octane by Rs 1.94 per litre.
After the government's approval, the new prices will be applicable from May 1.
